Ajax heeft een nieuwe speler in het vizier. Het gaat om de 18-jarige Braziliaanse linksbuiten Matheus Martins. Dit weet het medium Globo Esporte te melden. Hij staat onder contract in eigen land bij Fluminense.<\/h4>\n

De 1,79 meter lange Martins staat op het punt om definitief door te breken bij Fluminense. Hij speelde al een kleine vijftien wedstrijden voor de club uit Rio de Janeiro, maar de kans is groot dat daar niet heel veel wedstrijden bovenop komen. Naast Ajax zijn ook Leeds United en Benfica in de race voor diens handtekening.<\/p>\n

Op dit moment ligt er nog geen officieel aanbod voor Martins, maar dat lijkt een kwestie van tijd. Fluminense zal naar verwachting meewerken. Zelfs na de transfer van Luiz Henrique naar Real Betis heeft de Braziliaanse club meer transferinkomsten nodig om het huishoudboekje op orde te krijgen.<\/p>\n

Fluminense zal de vleugelaanvaller niet zomaar verkopen aan Ajax of een andere ge\u00efnteresseerde club. Vorig jaar wees de clubleiding al een bod van zeven miljoen euro af.
